We would just like you all to know that we are working very hard to prepare for the upcoming academic year. The bookforms will be uploaded a.s.a.p., and we are already planning new and exciting activities for the next year! Also, please feel free to email us all questions you may have. As you probably have read in the letter we sent you, this is the site of the Albion Association. We are also on Facebook and Hyves ofc, but this is the place where we post new events and important information 1st.

Tonight we play local sketches for local people. Lionsmanes Matthijs is our host for the evening.” Ol’ Gregg will be there to take care of our every needs. Bring your favorite “Lesbian Spank Inferno” tape and we might just watch it. There will be spam eggs sausage and spam for all.

This Tuesday night will be BritCom night. Enjoy. It’s dreadful, but quite short.

PS. If your name is not Anouk Broekhuizen (because then you would have spotted them all a mile away) and you can tell me all the references cunningly hidden in this post we will give you a little present.

“The Surfaders (your lecturer Evert van Leeuwen’s band) are playing live at De Vinger on Friday 23 April at 21.00. Bagijnestraat 25, Den Haag. Walking distance from the Central Station. After the band there will be a Surf-Punk-Newwave-Goth disco. Jan Frans van Dijkhuizen will record the show, so if you want to be immortalized on a live cd of instrumental surfrock, come and watch us play and make sure to make some noise. The admission price is 3 euros at the door. All Albion members who show up can sign up to get a free cdr copy of the live recording once it has been mixed. De Vinger does not have a regular doorman/woman, so if you are short of cash, there is the option to play doorman/woman during the concert (approximately one hour). If you play doorman/woman, you will get in for free and will be given a drink or two by the band while you are at the door.”

Gift: Attending Albion members will receive a free copy of the Live CD that will be recorded and mixed by Jan Frans van Dijkhuizen.

Also: Students who want to sit near the entrance won’t have to pay admittance and we’ll give them a drink for showing up. De Vinger is so small that you can see and hear everything from your seat near the door. Click the link to their Myspace page and check out their music.

Tuesday 16 March – Excursion to ‘t Loo palace.
We will pay for the tour of the palace, which includes visiting the place where all the magic happened for William and Mary, aka their bedrooms. Entrance fee is at own expense. Free entrance for members and € 3,00 (+ € 0,50 at the door) for non-members. Drinks and food are provided for, but be quick before we run out of free drinks!

Saturday 20 March – Parents Day
Do you want to show your parents around university? We have arranged special lectures, a quiz, lunch and a tour through Leiden. Costs are €5,00 pp. Please sign up by sending an email to secretary@albionassociation.org.
